What is a Component Builder?​

Component Builders are approved community members who help expand Cirkit's library of simulatable parts. As a builder, you'll have exclusive access to our powerful Component Editor with AI assistance.

What We're Looking For​

We're selecting builders who can write high-quality code and documentation. Ideal candidates have:

  • Experience with electronics, circuit simulation, web development (HTML and TypeScript ideally)
  • Ability to write clean, well-documented code
  • Strong technical writing skills for component documentation and examples
  • Commitment to building components that benefit the entire community
  • Interest in helping establish quality standards for the ecosystem

Your Responsibilities​

As an approved Component Builder, you're building components that will be used by hundreds of thousands of users—they need to work flawlessly:

  • Create well-tested, documented simulation components that work reliably across all use cases
  • Follow our strict submission guidelines and quality standards
  • Thoroughly test components in various circuit contexts before submission
  • Help establish best practices for the growing builder community

How It Works​

  1. Apply: Fill out our application form with your background and relevant experience
  2. Review: We'll review applications and select builders who align with our goals
  3. Approval: Approved builders get immediate access to the Component Editor
  4. Build: Start creating components with AI assistance and comprehensive documentation
  5. Submit: Submit your components following our guidelines
  6. Payment: If you've built a bountied component, you'll receive the cash bounty via PayPal or Venmo upon approval
  7. Recognition: Accepted components get featured in our mailing list and on our homepage, and you get recognized as the creator
